Gaza-attacks Spread on the Internet

The conflict between Israel and Palestine has made its expression on the internet already. Thousands of net pages have been attacked lately by hackers groups from Morroco, Lebanon, Turkey and Iran. Gary Warner the director of Computer research at the University has been following these internet attacks and how they express themselves on the internet.

The attacks are called «defacing» where the internet sites original content is exchanged with a political message of some sort or another.

It is primarily smaller companies and small  web sites that are prone to these attackes, and lately the Israelian domain .il has been the victim of these attacks. Also some .is domains have been exposed to same attacks lately. On the web pages victimized of these attacks you can read the following message on the front page of the site;

«.Hacked By H!CHAM
“‘H@CH-àCH'”.FUçK i$RàéL.
So Admin!! I have the remote now (*-°)
“Hà_àH” Hacked by Not H@ch From a&d one àCh The T£AM
Your security is down
MAR)HàçkeD By T£AM H@ch-àch(ROC
! M. A. R.O.C !»

Among the israelian web sites are Galoz Electronics that has been hit by « RitualistaS GrouP Hacked your System!!! The world isn’t insurance!!! For a better world» message.

Other hackers have placed more aggressive messages that condemn the USA and Israel and places violent pictures on the «defacede» pages. There has still not been any attacks visible on the publich pages of the Israelian authorities web pages, but there are evidence that there has been trials of attacks on these servers.

The attacks towards the web pages started short time after the attacks on Gaza, and escalated just the day after with an estimate of around 10.000 web pages been hacked so far.

The amount of people involved in «defacing» really took off in 2006 after the conflicts with the comic drawings of the prophet in Denmark.  One of the «defacing»-hacker groups has increased their membership from 70 just before the conflict of comic drawings to more than 10.000 in the end of 2008. So there is a dramatic support in these activities and has now become part of the cyber war activities seen around the word wherever there is a conflict of major media interest.

Comparing Iphone 4GS with 3GS Iphone

According to the person who found it, this iPhone was running iPhone OS 4.0 before the iPhone 4.0 announcement. The person was able to play with it and see the iPhone 4.0 features. Then, Apple remotely killed the phone before we got access to it. We were unable to restore because each firmware is device specific—3GS firmware only loads on 3GS devices—and there are no firmwares available for this unreleased Iphone 4GS, which is another clue to its authenticity.

The fact that it uses a micro-sim is a clear indicator that this is a next-generation iPhone. No other cellphone uses this standard at this point in the US.

The case it came inside was a fully developed plastic case to house this phone to disguise it like a 3GS Iphone. This wasn’t just a normal case; it had all the proper new holes cut out for the new switches and ports and camera holes and camera flash. But it looks like something from Belkin or Case-Mate. It’s a perfect disguise.

Logic can also narrow down why this phone is this year’s iPhone, rather than next year’s model or one from the previous year’s, just because it was found in the wild right now. It makes no sense for Apple to be testing 2011’s model right now, in super finished form—they wouldn’t be nearly finished with it. The phone also can’t be last year’s test model, because last year’s model (based on the iPhone 3GS teardowns) components were way different. No micro-sim, much bigger logic board, no flash, no front camera, smaller battery and an inferior camera. That only leaves the 2010 model. At first sight, this new iPhone’s industrial design seems so different from the previous two generations that it could be discarded as just a provisional case. Even while the finish is so perfect that it feels right out of the factory, some of the design language elements that are common to all Apple products are not there. Gone is the flushed screen glass against the metal rim. Gone is the single volume button, replaced by two separate ones. Gone is the seamless rim, and gone are the tapered, curved surfaces.

This new iPhone uses separate buttons for the volume instead of the single button that you can find in the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. It’s one of the factors that may indicate that this is a provisional case, until you think about one of the most requested features for Apple’s phone: A physical button for the camera. The new iPhone has a bigger sensor and a flash, which means that the camera function keeps gaining more weight. It’s only logical to think that Apple may have implemented this two-button approach to provide with a physical shutter button. It makes sense.

If you think real Iphone is too dear, you can choose Replica Iphone which is of high quality and has low price.

Do It Yourself Covert GPS Vehicle Tracking Systems

To install covert GPS vehicle tracking systems, you basically have two choices, pay a specialist company to install and maybe even interpret the data for you, or install your own system and save some money. Do it yourself covert GPS tracking systems are easily installed and, with modern user-friendly software, your vehicle will be easy to track as well. An added advantage with installing your own system is that you need access to the vehicle for only a very short period of time, which is important if you want to minimize the chances of being found out.

This article will look at installing the device in a vehicle, and how you start to use the software program.

Do It Yourself GPS Tracking System – The Installation

Your first decision, when fitting your unit, is what power source you are going to use. You can use the vehicles power supply, which is useful if you think you will be tracking the vehicle for some time, because you won’t ever need to worry about recharging the unit, but the downside to this is that it will involve linking in to the vehicles wiring system which can be complicated and takes some time. Your alternative is to opt for battery power, this makes for a very quick install and is very easy to carry out. With many of the latest units you have the choice of both power options.

When you have decided how you want your unit to be powered, you will need to insert the phone SIM card that comes with your device. Quick tip – make sure the SIM is not locked with a PIN number before you put it in the tracking device as this will stop it transmitting data, you can check the SIM by putting it in a normal cell phone first.

As soon as you have power and the SIM is in place you are ready to roll – it doesn’t get any simpler than that. You now have to make the toughest decision of the whole process, where to hide the unit in the vehicle. You need to choose somewhere that it won’t be found, because the whole point of fitting covert GPS vehicle tracking systems is the secrecy element!

The final thing you need to do is register your phone with the installed device if you want updates sent to your phone – this is easy to do but all systems are different so you’ll have to follow the install guide.

Do It Yourself GPS Tracking System – The Data Output

The software for each covert vehicle tracking device is different, so it’s impossible to give detailed instructions here, there are however some similarities between each package.

First you will need to install the software on your PC or laptop, which is usually as simple as inserting a CD into your computers CD drive, so this should be fairly straightforward. Your package should come with a GSM modem to link up your computer to the device fitted to your car, you will need one of these, so speak to your supplier if it wasn’t part of the deal. After you’ve uploaded the software there are just a couple of steps you will have to follow to enable each device to communicate with the other, these will be specific to the unit you have bought so just follow the install guide and you will be good to go. Once you’re finished, you will be ready to track the vehicle anywhere in the world.

New Storage Material To Boost Your Laptop Battery

On the outskirts of Graz University of Technology, located in Austria, a team of scientists are quietly developing the next generation of battery technology. Stefan Koller, one of the researchers involved with the project, wears protective gloves to operate on a Lithium-ion battery behind a protective plexiglass window. He hopes the work completed today will be used to improve the performance of automotive, cellphone, and laptop batteries of the near future.

According to Koller, the research and development of batteries has been ignored for too long. “A real revolution is needed for the development of the next generation. We need new storage materials for lithium-ion batteries”, says Koller. This is also the subject of his upcoming doctoral thesis.

Koller and other researchers at University of Technology believe the answer to improved laptop battery power could be in a new storage material that improves the energy density of existing lithium-ion batteries. What makes Koller’s solution even more realistic from a commercial standpoint is that its also affordable.

The secret is silicon gel on graphite. Koller explains how it works, “In this way the graphite works as a buffer, cushioning the big changes in volume of the silicon during the uptake and transfer of lithium ions.”

Koller’s project is still in research stage, but he is hopeful of the affects it could have on the industry. Initial testing shows that storage capacity could be improved by ten times. With results like this laptop users could no longer resent long airplane flights or extended cross-country trips.

A patent on this innovation has already been submitted, although its unlikely you’ll be able to take advantage of this research for quite some time. Hootoo.com will continue to keep you updated with news about this developing technology.
