What kind of cellphone that can access internet connection even im outside the house?

My fiance have a t-mobile phone it’s cool coz he can access internet outside the house. Could anyone send me a list of other kind of cellphone that has this kind of features. Something that i can use as a modem too for my laptop as internet connection.
