Top Rated New Samsung Printers Released In 2009

These days, you cannot turn anywhere without seeing an electronic gadget or appliance that is not made by Samsung. Samsung is, without a doubt, the largest manufacturer of electronics today, and Samsung printers are just a small part of their business.

Samsung, however, takes its business seriously, and so it is not surprising either that Samsung printers and Samsung toner cartridges are among the best in the computer printing industry. For 2009, Samsung came up with new printer models, and these are some of them that gained interest among critics this year.

1. Samsung CLP 310. The Samsung CLP 310 may appear like a plastic box with an uninspired design but it is proving to be a good color laser printer for the home office. It churns out decent output for both text and color graphics even at draft quality, and it is affordable enough for any home user to have without breaking the budget for printer maintenance and toner cartridges.

However, this Samsung printer is a bit on the slow side, producing only nine pages of black and white prints and four pages of color prints in one minute. But this printer speed is something that Samsung was somehow honest about, unlike many printer vendors that pad their product’s printing speed. This Samsung printer also boasts of a “NO NOIS” capability. Although this printer is somewhat quieter than most laser printers, its manufacturer can still do a bit of work in turning the volume down.

2. Samsung CLP 315W. The Samsung CLP 315W is a stylish-looking color laser printer that you definitely would not mind looking at from across your desk, whether your desk is in an office workgroup or is located at home. Its sleek, piano-black colors with glossy touches render this Samsung printer great eye candy.

Performance-wise, this Samsung printer is passably decent. Both text and graphic prints, whether monochrome or colored, do have that put-together look that you can expect from any laser printer. Printing speed, however, is lower than average at only 13 pages per minute for black-only text and three pages per minute for colored graphics.

Price: US$249.00

3. Samsung ML-2851ND. Many of us have come to expect a lot from monochrome laser printers, and Samsung ML-2851ND is not free from this kind of scrutiny. This Samsung printer, however, does hold itself passably well among the other competing monochrome laser printers out there. Its print quality is good enough for an indiscriminate user, but more exacting professional printers may want more out of this particular printer.

Another disadvantage to this Samsung printer is that it does not have wireless connectivity, so if this is a feature that you desire, you are better off looking for other printer models. Still, this Samsung printer is not so bad at all.
