What do you think of meeting guys on the internet-safety tips?

I met this guy on myspace-he is from my town, he is really goodlooking and he calls me to talk from the road(he is a truck driver) I really wanna meet him but I want e1’s opinion and maybe some safety tips-serious answers only please
