One can finally say that the era of dual core processors in high-end smart phones has finally begun and the LG Optimus Black is one of the first phones to be included in this new technology into it. This phone was announced by LG along with the LG Optimus 2X, but one can definitely say that this has got a lot of attention than the Optimus 2X simply because of the fact that it has an all-round capability that is lacking in the Optimus 2X. The all-round capability of the phone denotes the fact that it looks good, has a lot of features, has excellent performance and finally, it is expected to cost significantly less than the current high-end smartphones of today.

The LG Optimus Black features a 4 inch touch screen display that is exactly similar in size to the screen found on the LG Optimus 2X. It is a screen that will be using the NOVA technology that has been recently developed by LG in order to overtake the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S, which has been using the super AMOLED technology. The screen is truly a gem when it comes to offering high resolution and it is one of the few phones that can come close to the Apple iPhone 4 in terms of resolution. The enhanced web browsing experience will surely be appreciated by a number of users due to the presence of the capacitive technology, which has been developed even further by LG.

The phone will be coming with the Android 2.2 operating system. However, LG has said that this phone will be capable of being updated to the Android 2.3 operating system, which is also known as the gingerbread operating system. The new operating system will be having a reworked user interface that is much more user friendly than before. It is not the only new feature in it and it includes a number of others as well. The presence of a five megapixel camera in the LG Optimus Black will be able to satisfy most users, but hard-core photography fans will surely be disappointed by the five megapixel camera. An eight megapixel camera would have surely justified the other features that the phone has in abundance. Even though it will be coming with only the 720 p video recording option, one will be able to upgrade to the 1080 p full HD video recording option after performing the upgrade the operating system.

The phone having quite a lot of multimedia features and hence LG have provided this phone with the option of being able to increase the memory in this phone. Even though the internal memory of the phone has not been revealed by LG, it will be able to support 32 GB memory cards in the external memory card slot provided in the phone. T-Mobile has been revealed as one of the operators that will be carrying the support to the LG Optimus Black in the UK and it will be priced at around 425.
