I recently purchased the LG Rumor Touch from Virgin Mobile. Since I am always so busy but have a lot of people I need to stay in contact with, the unlimited data as well as the advertised Instant Messaging app, I thought it would work perfect. My problem is that when I try to log in to the MSN Messenger app, I cannot enter my full email address. My email is reinventedsteel@gmail.com but the app only lets me get as far as reinventedsteel. When I insert the @ symbol, it automatically pops up with a few preset emails related to MSN, such as @hotmail.com. There is also another option on the pop up menu that says “other email”. When I select that option, nothing happens at all other than the pop up screen closes. It will not allow me to type @gmail.com in any way, and it’s starting to get frustrating. No search engine is precise enough to type in the entire problem, and the phone came with a terribly lame “manual” that is only 10 pages long…doesn’t explain anything. I can’t seem to find any in depth manuals online either.
I really want this to work, and if it can’t, I would at least like to understand why. I’d be grateful for any information.offered. I hope I conveyed my problem clearly….thanks in advance!
