I just got an old tv, my boyfriend had it laying around in his basement and was going to give it away, so I took it. It only has like a 9 inch screen, haha. But my family has a direct tv satellite and I was wondering if I just used a generic cable if it would work and give me cable channels or if I would have to get another cable box installed to hook up to that tv in order to get cable. Anything you know or any suggestions are welcome and appreciated! Thank you!
