How can a high school student get involved in technology?

I’m a junior in high school in San Francisco and technology really interests me, but my schools doesn’t offer engineering classes or anything. I looked for programs outside of school, but all of them require some sort of previous technology experience, which I have never had (however I did have a job as a database manager). I really want to put something on my resume/college application that has to do with technology/engineering but I have no idea what/how I get involved! I would love some input.
