You can now see why the announcement that Google plans to do this is not as scary as it sounds. It actually offers up a lot of potential for all of us.

Now, for those who are worried about the software, you have somewhat of a reason to be. Merrill even stated that it is a very real possibility that an individual or corporation could find a way to manipulate Google’s search system. They could manipulate the system to their advantage, thus giving them access to all of your tagged information. I personally believe that this is one of the reasons that the company has yet to release the program to the world. They might be working on several ways to help prevent this from happening.
