The need to hold business meetings, conferences or training sessions for your employees is always there, whether you run a small business or a large company. We all know how inconvenient such meetings can be, in terms of both time and money, especially if you need to get people from different locations to the same place. The good news is that you are now presented with an excellent alternative to holding such meetings. We are talking about online meeting software, a very powerful tool which eliminates all the disadvantages and inconveniences of traditional office meetings. Web conferencing software allows companies and organizations of all sizes and scopes to hold meetings, conferences and training sessions in a faster, more effective and more convenient way. The only requirements are that you subscribe to such online meeting software and that all meeting attendees have access to a PC and internet connection. Should these conditions be met, online meetings and training sessions can take place in the most favorable circumstances, allowing participants to exchange files irrespective of their size and format, communicate in real time and share ideas using a common chat window that supports both text and voice, print documents from the moderator’s desktop, as well as perform many other useful functions. Web conferencing solutions are available from many developers, with a variety of functions and features that meet even the most demanding needs for online meetings and online training sessions. Prices also vary widely, depending largely on the software developer, as well as on the product features. Prior to choosing a particular web conferencing application, you should know exactly what features can be implemented in order to be able to opt for a product that best meets your specific requirements in terms of functions and budget. The most advanced online meeting software features real-time screen sharing, file transfer, unlimited usage, shareable licenses, remote printing, text and audio chat (VoIP), whiteboard (drawing tools), control over attendees’ access rights, as well as administrative and statistics tools. Good web conferencing software supports up to fifteen attendees, plus the moderator. In addition to all these benefits, the use of online meeting software allows you to manage your time a lot more efficiently and eliminate travel and accommodation expenses for the meeting participants, should the case be such. A group meeting online is also the best and most effective solution when employee training is required. Whenever you need to introduce new products, software, policies or present a new safety procedure to operators, you can easily set up and conduct training sessions online with the help of online training software. Employees can easily attend such online training sessions using their computers. Instructors can do everything from their computer desktop, including running presentations, demonstrating the use of new software programs or teaching new policies. Management meetings, training seminars, press conferences, sales presentations, interviews, panel discussions, client consultations and Q&A sessions are just some of the events for which a web conferencing application will prove extremely useful and effective.

Google Sets Sights on RFID
Insider news has been released about a future program that Google is currently working on. The company is currently developing a program that will make literally everything in the world accessible at the click of a button. You will be able tag every book, movie, television, music, and radio broadcast. There will be even the power to tag official documents and photographs. The scary news is that the network may even have the power to tag actual people and their personal belongings as well. My interest caused me to look further into this announcement and learn a bit more about it. Read on to find out a little more about this latest announcement.
The news come via an interview Daily Mail recently did with the Google VP of engineering Douglas Merrill. It was during the interview that Merrill released the company’s future plans. Insiders currently do not know what type of technology or software that is currently being created by the company. Google has a record of keeping many of their project very secret from everyone else. What we do know is that everything will be controlled at all times using RFID. This is called radio frequency identification. It will be interesting to see how everything will actually work.
Taking a basic look at the idea, it sounds pretty cool. The technology will enable us to tag everything from our dog, to a book, to our cellphone, to your car keys. What this could mean is the ability to find things that we lose which happen to be tagged. Hypothetically, let me say that I lost my car keys somewhere in the house and can not find them. I would be able to use the Google software to access my information and find the keys I mistakingly placed downstairs. You can now see why the announcement that Google plans to do this is not as scary as it sounds. It actually offers up a lot of potential for all of us.
Now, for those who are worried about the software, you have somewhat of a reason to be. Merrill even stated that it is a very real possibility that an individual or corporation could find a way to manipulate Google’s search system. They could manipulate the system to their advantage, thus giving them access to all of your tagged information. I personally believe that this is one of the reasons that the company has yet to release the program to the world. They might be working on several ways to help prevent this from happening. Otherwise, if the program is released and people do indeed do that, we could be heading down a very dangerous path. Keep posted here for future updates.

China Mobile Phone Step Into the World
Burgeoning
When the cell phone first appeared on the Chinese market in the late 1980s it cost 10,000-20,000 yuan, and was the size of a brick. Regarded as the ultimate status symbol, it was called the da ge da, meaning very influential person. At that time, sales of mobile phones were under state control, and stocks were limited. Purchasers were required to place an order and make an 80 percent down payment. How things have changed! Mobiles are now available in multiple choices of size, color and function, on request.
Actuality
China has become the world’s largest mobile phone manufacturing base and consumer market. In the first quarter of 2008, the total mobile phone shipment in China reached 134 million units, increasing 34.5% year over year. While the subscriber base of mobile services reached 480 million at the end of the first quarter of 2008, which increased approximately 20 million when compared to the statistic data at the end of last year.
Internationalization
With expanding the industrial scale and quickening the pace of innovation, the entire domestic mobile terminal industry begins to step into the world, seeking new markets, technologies, capital and other resources for more development space. To cater to these demands, the IMIE’2007 has invited overseas buyers from 24 countries and regions, including 7 overseas mobile operators and 17 multinational purchasing delegations. Their purchasing lists include HSDPA/GSM/CDMA mobile handsets, PDAs, smart phones and other mobile devices, as well as components and accessories.
Representative Product
When it comes to affordable iPhone clones, Meizu seems to be leading the pack now that they’ve unveiled the pricing for their M8 cell phone. The 4GB model with built-in camera will go for $310 while the 8GB version will go for $400. The entry-level model (with no camera) will go for only $195 at 4GB and $285 at 8GB. Compare that to the iPhone’s $499/$599 price and suddenly Meizu’s option doesn’t look so bad, though it’s still an iPhone clone.

Online Appointment Scheduler Software for Newbies
Anytime new software comes on the market, most people are in for a learning curve. Setting appointments online probably elicits a lot of ideas from those who aren’t familiar with what it means. Most of those ideas are probably correct: it is convenient and fast; it allows customers to set their own appointments and business owners to be instantly informed of when it happens. The idea behind this software is one of efficiency, but, to achieve this efficiency, you have to learn a bit about the concepts behind online booking software.
When people talk about instant communications on the Internet, they usually talk about instant messaging, email and the related communications protocols. Online scheduler software has many of the characteristics of these types of software, and many of its own. The direct, instant communication element is the notification you receive when a new appointment is set. The aspects of online booking software that go beyond this, however, are those that have to do with the organizational power it encompasses by making digital a very old technology: the calendar.
On appointment software, the calendar is the heart of the system. The business owner sets up their hours however they want and, essentially, creates a selection of available appointment times that are instantly available to anyone on the site. The client simply chooses what works for them, schedules it and the date is set. The business owner sees this from the control panel of the system, where they’re able to confirm, reschedule or do anything else needed. This allows tremendous flexibility and, because it’s all live, there’s no delay, no additional work needed and the system is, on the whole, self-reliant. You won’t have to buy special hardware or software to work with an online scheduler.
Appointment software used to be dependent upon a specific device or required you to buy a software suite. Despite all of this, the technologies of the past were not networked as are those of today, so your appointment schedule still was only sharable with those whom you directly shared it. Today, online booking software allows you to keep a constant stream of communication going with your clients and coworkers. Learning this software has numerous potential benefits. There’s little adjustment to be made, as there is no new software to learn, and this frees up even more time to be dedicated to business.
