I have my iPod connected to my old computer, but i just got a new laptop(MacBook Pro) and i was just wondering how could connect it without losing all the info/music on my iPod.

I want to meter my energy consumption and audit my electric co. what gadget do I use?
Preferably a gadget that will monitor total energy usage not by appliance. Something in between the main and the meter. My electric co is ripping me off every other way so and they put in a meter that reads the same number at all times so I cant match it to any kind of number. That alone is what causes suspicion.
