Are environmental organizations working in reality and on purpose to keep the Third World poor?

Any sensible person would never like to see animal and plant species disappear forever, but at the same time everybody should have the means to sustain the basic necessities of life and provide for his/her family. Ever since the beginning of mankind, progress has been achieved through some exploitation of natural resources. This is how western countries have achieved prosperity. In the light of the current global warming crisis, I have the feeling that conservation and environmental organizations have given up on ever enticing western countries into the changes in technology and economic models that can provide solutions to global warming: the situation is so complex and no western country can afford changing its life style overnight. Hence the choice by environmental organizations of easy targets: that is why they push Third World Countries already poorly governed to implement “sustainable development” using cleverly devised tools to allegedly help them preserve nature but in reality cynically aimed at keeping those countries poor and thus preventing them to release more carbon in the atmosphere. Your opinions please.

TOP SECRET clearance help?

I am currently an Electronic Countermeasures troop in the Air Force and will be cross training into cyber surety (requires a top secret) and these are my concerns…

…It is documented that I had alcohol dependence about two years ago when my parents divorced, but NO issues with the law or work performance and I drink very seldom now.

…I was issued anti-anxiety medication about 7 years ago from a doctor, not a physiologist and I do not take and did not take any of the meds.

…Those are my two concerns; I currently work with a TON of classified information and COMSEC and have been in the military almost ten years with not one negative remark in my record and my finances are great with about a 740 credit score.

Girl told me she was 21, then revealed she was a minor at the end of our chat. Now I’m having nightmares?

So last night I was on the website Omegle. It allows you to chat with complete strangers. Most of the people on there are simply looking for girls to trade dirty pics or other stuff. I was just trying to find someone to talk to, as it was late and most of my friends weren’t online.

I was eventually connected to a girl who was 21 (I’m 23). She said she was studying astronomy in college. Throughout the chat I kept mentioning she was 21 and she never corrected me. We chatted a bit about cartoons, astronomy, drama, etc. I admit it did get a little immature, as we joked about scenarios where we meet a crush and we make a fool of ourselves (example, wearing goofy print underwear, a bee or spider crawls down our shirt or pants and we freak out, etc.). At no point did I ever say crap like “hey let’s meet up for sex!” or “hey, i’m taking your clothes off as we lay in bed” or “I want to [insert graphic sex act here]” or “hey, send me naked pictures ;)” because I knew no one would want to talk to me on that site if my intentions were to have cyber sex.

At the end of the chat, the girl then revealed she was lying about something. I assumed it was that it was really a guy (which would be a little weird, but again, since this wasn’t a chat about doing each other, I really could care less), but she shocked me by saying she lied about her age and she was under 16! I made sure to copy paste the chat onto a text file just in case.

Now I’ve become extremely nervous and anxious. She never suggested that she was creeped out by me, but now I keep looking over my shoulder, thinking the police are going to arrest me and charge me with talking to a minor. My heart races when a cop car is nearby.

I don’t want to be classified in the same crime as those sickos from that NBC show everyone talks about! I know it’s against the law for grown men to chat with minors online and had the person told me in the beginning she was younger I would have ended the chat right there to avoid legal trouble.
