Will magic jack cost airtime minutes from my friend if I use it to call her cellphone in Canada?

Well a friend of mine now leaves in canada and I wanted to call her through her cellphone, yet she is wondering if i use magic jack to call if it will cost her airtime minutes. Her service provider is Rogers.
