A Columbia Pictures production, the film has been written by Aaron Sorkin and is directed by David Fincher. Jesse Eisenberg plays Zuckerberg in the film. The film is expected to hit the theatres in October.

The tag line for the film, “You can’t make 500 million friends without making a few enemies” explains the initial days of Facebook, and the film. The tag line also hints at the younger generation trying to create a larger than life persona of themselves that entails loyalty, jealousy and money. Columbia Pictures has just released the first trailer for the film, The Social Network alongwith the poster for the film. Though the teaser does not reveal much about the film and the plot, it is certainly intriguing and will generate curiosity amongst movie goers.
