What software can use my webcam like a security camera?

I think someone has been going through my stuff in my room, and I want to use my webcam to record when it detects motion. I’ve had software to do this before, but it was for mac and I don’t remember what it’s called (I have PC now).

Basically I want an application that’ll record when it detects motion on the webcam, preferably free/opensource or really cheap.
