I know of guitar rig and amplitube, but if I’m not mistaken they’re just amp and effects simulation. I was wondering what kind of hardware I would need to plug my guitar into my computer and what software would I need to record it using these programs. I am a freshman in high school, and looking for a new gadget to get for Christmas but I’m not sure what to ask for. The total cost of the gift has to be at most $200, including must-haves for it, and it cannot be a cellphone or ipod touch(have them). Help!
