I might be in charge of youth dances and have no modern music–I’m 42. Satellite Finder

I own the Ipod Classic 80gb. The ipod does not appear in windows, or on itunes. I have tried reformating with itunes, but it does not work. I have changed the ipod to disc mode and then format, and of course, it did not work. I have checked the USB port, and the cord, they are not the problem.
The port on the Ipod has been checked as well, and is not the issue.
