Well, over a month has passed since the movie avatar came out and I made time to go and see it. The weekend that a movie opens is usually really crazy with all the people that go to the theaters to watch it, but, with Avatar, every showing is still pretty packed because of what a great movie it is.
I chose tonight, Tuesday, to go and see it and was surprised that the theater was jam-packed for the 10:30 showing. Oh yeah, this movie is definitely the talk of the town. Based on what I have heard, I was looking forward to seeing it and was hoping to not be disappointed.
There have been so many times that I have been told how good a certain movie is, only to discover that it was not very good at all. That was most definitely not the way it was this evening when I saw Avatar. It was so much fun to view this movie in 3-D.
I have to say that when we are talking about visual effects, this movie is the best that I have ever watched. There are not a whole lot of those moments when you think that things in the movie are coming right at you, but the 3-D effects are surely what made this movie.
By putting together the story and action so well, Cameron was able to achieve having the plot and the 3-D technology fused together as one. You really feel like you are right there on the planet of Pandora and it is not just me who felt like that.
This movie brings you into its separate world, and has more than enough fantasy to perhaps start a cult. If you have been able to see the spectacular Pan’s Labryinth, then you will more than likely get a lot out of the many mystical creatures that are in Avatar.
All in all, this was a movie for the ages. I would absolutely recommend seeing it, and I’d definitely be sure to see it in 3D.
Yes, watching it in the regular way will still give you a lot of enjoyment, but I would not want to miss the fantastic experience that I just went through. So make plans soon to go to the theater and view this awesome movie.
