The notion of being able to live vicariously through telepresence has been talked about for years. Life is still primitive because way too much mundanity and stupefying tedium requires ones physical presence. Are there any new concepts like nanotech and quantum computers that are in the development stage that could eliminate or greatly lessen the boredom of the human element.
