Although it is fairly easy to transfer files from one computer to the next, it is harder to transfer programs. The reason for this is programs are very big, where as files are smaller. They are easy to transfer and easier to download and upload. You also have many ways to transfer files, where as programs your ways are limited.
Below are some ways that you can transfer programs safely and efficiently
1) Buy a software program that can be used to transfer the programs. Although this product will cost you over $50 bucks, it is very helpful and easy to use. All you simply have to do is download the software, and run it. Then simply follow the directions and start transferring. However one other thing you will need is a USB wire. This wire is used to move the programs from the old computer to the new computer. Without this wire you will not be able to transfer the files this way. You must plug one end of the wire into your old computer, then one into the newer laptop or computer. The data software will make it extremely easy to just sync the programs and watch it download. The time it will take varies from user to user; it depends on your upload and download speed, as well as the type of connection you’re running.
2) Some programs that aren’t that big you can send through email. This will take a while, but it does work. Although this is an option, I suggest the flash drive the most. It is easier, and faster.
3) A third way to transfer the programs is to have a USB Flash Drive. This is another very fast and efficient way to move the programs. You can buy any size flash drive; some will just be able to hold more then others. For programs I suggest a 4 or 8 GB. However a 2 will work, you just won’t be able to hold more then one program. Plug up the device to your old computer, and then transfer the programs to the flash drive. Once you have done this, unplug the device, plug it into the new computer, and upload the files.
Hopefully this has helped you to figure out which way would be best for you to upload programs to the new computer. Although some of the ways are faster and other methods are slower, they all do the same thing. The easiest, cheapest, and fastest way is a flash drive. However buying a data transferring project is also fast, efficient and very easy. The only con for most people is the price.
