A new programme has been developed to search AutoCAD downloads and other files in order to pinpoint particular criteria making CAD work more convenient and efficient.
Cad Explorer is almost like a search engine as it is able to search files while also being able to support AutoCAD tools such as drawing files.
Developed by Axiom, which has been developing software for the past 25 years, users can now use Cad Explorer with AutoCAD downloads including any DGN or DWG files.
And the company, based in Clearwater, Florida, developed the product based on real life scenarios and problems users may encounter when utilising AutoCAD tools. It is therefore designed to save time and help the user be more productive with their time.
The product, which was previously available for use with Microstation will now help users find particular files by using a wide range of criteria including searching by block names or text strings.
Cad files from both Microstation and AutoCAD tools can all be searched using this new product and Axiom believe there is no easier way to search or preview text from both systems.
In addition, the Florida based company state that Cad Explorer will be able to spot any mistakes made in spelling layer or level names which will save users a lot of time and effort to go through every single AutoCAD download or file.
The product works by allowing users to see all the data contained within a simple, straightforward grid which may be very convenient to view cells in a particular project for example and his ‘quick search’ feature will allow users to locate text objects and tag names for example.
Other features include the user being able to view files in a preview mode which will also help you locate what you looking for with more ease and convenience.
